I'm Baacckkk!

Did anyone miss me??

.....

um hello? anyone still there?

anyone? Buller?

Well on the off chance that some people have the misfortune to stumble across my blog from time to time... how bout an update.

I won the lottery, bought a house, met the man of my dreams and have a job I love.

And then I woke up. Best dream I ever had!

Seriously... What have I been up too?
WELL since you are so curious, I will fill you all in.

Valentines Day came and went... I didn't do much. I went to dinner. The food was so good!
What did I have? Budlight Clam, I mean really it's the classy thing to do no?

I have officially applied to 20 jobs. I have officially received 0 call backs.
I am officially starting to get worried I will have to move back home.

I ran 1.16 miles yesterday. I plan on running 2 miles today.
I'm slightly worried about myself... what is wrong with me?? Where did the girl who hates to run go?

I have a friend who had a baby. Cacellia... she is such a precious baby girl.
I with the permission of Mama, am allowed to take pictures!
I can't wait.

I love my camera.
I love chocolate.
I hate Valentines Day.
I'm getting annoyed with Job hunting.
I want to buy my own house.
I want to buy my own house with some property so I can have all my animals with me.

And that is about all I've got.
So you see, you really haven't missed much.
I'm still alive, still random as ever and still love my camera.

Here is to Hump Day. Only 2 more days until the weekend!

Weekend Recap

It has been snowing all weekend.
It's still snowing right now as I type this.
We are up to 3 feet and deeper in the drifts.

Saturday I had a snow day with a friend.
We played cards and drank and big bottle of wine.
Then we drank a bottle of champagne.... our heads hurt a little the next morning.

Sunday everyone was shoveling snow.
I have a feeling our shovels are going to get a lot of use in the next couple days.

Here is to another week, and here is to our snow shovels.

I will post new snow pictures soon!

weekend recap

My weekend was busy, dangerous, expensive, fun all at once.
I know what your thinking... and no I'm not being dramatic.
Really my weekend was all of these things.

Saturday:
We went to an all day volleyball tournament. This was busy, fun and dangerous!
The dangerous part, several student who go to the school that hosted the tournament have the Swine Flu..... I told you it was dangerous.

Alas we are all okay (knock on wood) we all probably over dosed on hand sanitizer, and I think used 85% of the school's hand soap.
The fun part to the day was... Our team won the tournament. Yes we are the champions!

Sunday:
Nothing relaxes a person like retail shopping right?
So that's what I did.

I like to think I didn't buy anything to impulsive. That I really needed everything I bought.
Like this for example, I couldn't go on without it.
Seriously could you?
Okay okay, in my defense. I really bought it for the lamp shade, but the base is cool too right?
AND it was on clearance. Stop shaking your head at me!
It's from Pier One (a store that I really have no self control in) BUT it was on clearance, it's okay! This lamp was $50.00 and I got it for $29.98. A steal if you ask me.
Side Note: Now I have to figure out the perfect place for it..... and I don't have a house of my own. Hello challenge of the month. Lets see how much stuff I can stuff in one room. If you knew my Grandmother (love her) you would know I'm pretty darned talented in the cramming of stuff in one room! It's a gift really.
The shoes I bought for $4.95 was a good buy as well. But they have to go back. Not because I don't love them, but because the right shoe is a size 9 and the left is a size 7, unfortunately for me, my feet just don't work like that.
Hope you have a great Monday.
Mine started with snow.... woohoo

Homecoming

Do you remember your High school Homecoming?
Ahh those were the days, I seriously didn't have a care in the world.
Anyways anymore Homecoming wears me out.
This past week was Homecoming.

Everyday the kids dressed up for spirit week.
Thursday was the parade, and the pep assembly.

Friday was the football game.
I only lasted until half time until I was freezing, so to warm up I went to the bar.

Saturday was the Volleyball game.
All the teams C squad, JV team, and the Varsity all won, in three.
Then of course I finished the night at the bar with the other coaches and friends from college.

The Big Sky State Game volleyball girls ordered team jackets. They came in, they are awesome. I broke mine out at the football game.

Sweet new volleyball jackets. It's good to be Coach.

Weekend's

This was the first official weekend alone.
My first weekend in a new house.
My first weekend on someones schedule.

For the most part it was okay.
It was especially okay when I stayed busy.
I like things to stay busy, keeps my mind to busy to think about other things.

Sunday was not a busy day.
Sunday night was a hard one.
I just wanted to hear his voice.
I wanted to hear if he would be excited to talk to me, if he missed me.
I just wanted to talk to him.
I waited and waited and waited for him to return my call.

The call never came.
Enter the excuses....
Maybe he is busy, maybe he is out of service, maybe his phone is dead, maybe he lost his phone.
And then the worst was Maybe he doesn't want to talk to me.

Sunday night I went to bed sad.

This week will be busy, thankfully.
I won't have time to be sad, until Sunday.

Weekend Recap

I've been gone for what seems like a life time. But really I was only gone 5 days or so.

I've managed to fit a lifetime in 5 days.

Coaching Clinic... it was good. But good lord is it painful on my gas tank and my check book to drive to town. Every.Day.

I've managed to have a good serving of Ups and Downs to last me the next four years of my life.

Of course the weekend ended with a downer.

My horse had a rough couple of days. She cut her foot, and the very next day, cut her face.

I've been playing equestrian Doctor ever sense.

I'm anxiously awaiting a phone call.

I am genuinely sorry for some things that came out of my mouth this weekend. I shouldn't be like that.

A family member of mine by marriage is in the hospital. I hope they are ok.

Weekend Recap: A Vacation?

What a weekend.
Friday Morning I woke up at 4:00 am to drive 3 hours to Billings.
As soon as we got there, the 8th Grade Girls Volleyball Tournament started.
The girls did great! At the end of the day they were all so tired.
They took second, and all went home with silver medals and their Big Sky shirts!

These are the jersey's in all their glory.
On the back is their number and name.
I have to say, they looked pretty sharp in their matching shirts and socks!

I ended the night with a wonderful dinner! We found a little Pizzeria that served pizza the way it was meant to be served. Greasy, and delicious! Oh yes, it was delicious!

Saturday was a pretty low key day. I didn't have anything planned besides of course buying those shoes I've mentioned several times.
We spent the day walking around the mall (where I satisfied my new shoe addiction)
Then we wandered over to Cabela's.
I've never been to a Cabela's before so I didn't know what to expect.
As soon as I walked in the doors, my mouth dropped.
WHY? The mounts, that's why!
I was subjected to some of the biggest deer ever.

This Monster Muley Buck scored 302.

Sunday I played volleyball all day.
I can't say our team did as good as we would have liked, but we had fun.
Today I'm sore as all get out, and I'm sporting some sweet blisters from those new shoes I had to have. But all in all it was a great weekend vacation!

Why was it a vacation?
I got out of the house, I didn't have to make dinner.
I got to buy shoes, and I got to play volleyball.
Oh, and I also saw palm trees! Yes in deed this was a vacation.

Happy Monday!

July 4th Recap

I'm kind of embarrassed to admit, I didn't really do anything over my holiday weekend.
Sure I tried out new foods and recipes. But for the majority of the 4th I was home alone.
So I sat on the couch, painted my toes. I sat outside and watched my chickens.

Eventually I wandered inside to get dirty in the kitchen.
(Not that kind of dirty, I said I was home alone!)

Blackberry Cobbler, it was delicious.
It's even better warm with vanilla ice cream on the side.
And an awesome bonus, this was really easy to make.
Give this recipe a try yourself.

The Cream of Corn Casserole dish was also a keeper.
Very good, very rich, very very good.
The only thing, it's kind of a pain in the behind to cut off the kernels from the cob. In the end though this dish it worth all the effort.
Make this for someone you love.
Like it's any surprise, both of these recipes came from The Pioneer Woman.

On a totally un 4th of July related note.

I have been going on and on about all these animals I live with and around and haven't posted a single picture. So let's fix that right now shall we...?

Let's get this party started with the chickens.

The black and white gal trailing behind is Peaches.

The dark red gentlemen is Big Ben. He is the biggest dude.

The lighter red guy is kinda wild and sadly I don't have a name for him. Let's call him Pete.

This little guy is Turbo and he is the smallest dude.
He is the tamest too, I can pick him up, pet him put him on my lap.
Basically this chicken is awesome.
Not present for picture day was Chicken little my other hen and my other rooster. Yes I realize my girl to guy ratio kinda stinks, but such is life.
Hope everyone had an awesome and safe July 4th celebration!

Weekend Recap

My Weekend in one word. SUCKED.

I realized many things this weekend.

1. I shouldn't think I know someone or how they feel, because chances are I'm usually wrong and this thought I have will back fire on me.

2. I really shouldn't be surprised anymore when the pea brained retard hurts me, or ignores me for the night.

3. Some people just ARE NOT as good of dancers as they claimed they and their "partner" are.

4. When I'm mad and upset I have this very over whelming feeling of causing pain to the person. I want pain and blood. Basically I want revenge.

5. I truly believe in Karma and can not wait for this beauty to hit the pea brained retard.

6. He is dumb, he is out of chances. Game over.

And that was my weekend.
In the 2 short days I realized many things.
I also realized if some one were to ever push me over the edge, I would be out for blood.
My thoughts are constantly consumed with revenge.
I'm not sure how I will get revenge, but oh boy it will come and it will be sweet.

Here is too another Monday and hoping your weekend was better then mine.

Weekend Recap

Friday.... I had to run to my parent's house for the day. Yes only the day. (Sorry, I didn't call my friends, but I was only there for less then 24 hours)
Such a long day, I spent most of it on the phone. Trying to help my Sister. Then I had to hope back in my truck and drive back home.

Saturday....
CAR WASH (in the rain)
We decided we were still doing it! It turned out to be a pretty nice day after all, it stopped raining granted it was cloudy all day, but we didn't have to worry about getting streaks on the vehicles.

That night I went out with some friends, because the Rodeo was in town and well you go out. That's just how it works in a small town.
I had fun, enjoyed $2.00 beers and even 1 shot.
Don't worry I behaved, and kept all my clothes on (not that I would ever shed them in public)

Sunday..... Happy Fathers Day
CAR WASH, the last day! It was a nice sunny day. We wrapped it up with a good water fight. And by we, I don't mean myself..... I'm a party pooper that way!
When everything was said and done, the girls had raised over $200.00 dollars for uniforms for the tournament!

We also enjoyed the "Fathers Day Parade" It was pretty good, there were some awesome cars, some guys playing bagpipes, candy was thrown, horses pooped on the road, it was everything a parade should be.

That night, I took a nap, ate some dinner, jumped on the trampoline, ate a brownie, watched some u-tube video's, did some laundry, sat outside, fell asleep outside but not in this particular order. Finally I went to bed.

There you have it folks. That is my weekend in a few small paragraphs.
On the agenda for this week.....
Getting my truck in the shop to get the dent my dear bosses children did.
Catching up on sleep
Catching up on laundry
Eating Ice Cream
Trying to find a money tree to plant out back
Getting uniforms ordered/ printed
Sitting outside and getting my vitamin D fill.
(Note to self, put sunscreen on your part, your scalp does burn and peel. Making it look like I have a horrible case of dandruff)

Weekend Recap

This weekend.... ahh where do I begin?

First off Friday....
What did I do on Friday?.... OH I remember.
I went to work (eh, boring)
Then I went to the last day of volleyball camp. (It was fun)
The only downer, I rolled my ankle... yeah it sucks. But I iced it and took some Advil.
I'm happy to report the ankle is doing better.

Saturday:
I went to town and spent way to much money. More then I wanted too.... but totally worth it. I got a new bathing suit and some things for the upcoming car wash (more on this later!)
Then I stopped at Verizon wireless, was there for an eternity and left with a BRAND NEW PHONE! I spent the rest of the evening playing with said phone trying to figure all the bells and button's out. All in All, it's a pretty sweet phone. Now I just need to get a cover for when I drop the darn thing.
I also ate a whole bag of Cesar salad by.myself. Oh and don't forget the pork chop to go with it!

Sunday:
I hung outside, made some car wash signs (again, more on this later).
Then I decided to go to a friends, where we held a mini fishing tournament.
Luckily there were other's on my team who were actually good at fishing so we did pretty good overall.
Both teams tied with 4 fish caught each. However the other team kicked our butts in the size department, they caught fish and we caught Minos.
At the end of the night I roasted some marshmallows and ate some chocolate.
A great way to end a night. Except when you realize you have to go to work tomorrow.... I hate that part.

On the agenda this week:
Getting ready for car wash (again more on this later)
Getting work on the straight and narrow
Volleyball open gym
Continuing my cell phone education program

Here is to another Monday.

TGIF

My goodness work has been crazy. This week has been really busy.
I have been going, going, going, gone.

I'm so happy it's Friday.
The only thing to make this weekend sweeter is if I changed my phone number.
That was my biggest mistake to give the boss man and his wife my phone number.
AHHH They call ALL.THE.TIME.

I think I'm going to screen my calls and when they ask where I went I will tell them deep sea fishing in Africa.

On a better note:
My plans for the weekend? Nothing! And it's so wonderful.
I'm going to lay outside! Eat Ice Cream! Lay Outside! Make Sun Tea! Eat Ice Cream!
seriously this is what I have planned for this weekend and I couldn't be happier.

Weekend Recap

Friday- I went home early, I released myself from work with my self diagnosis of grumpitis and cramps.
I went home and ate some pasta salad and took a much needed nap on the couch.
Later that night I went to the movie "UP"
Believe it or not but that was my first 3-D movie ever! It was pretty cool, and I got to keep the glasses!
The movie was good, at first it was a little sad but the middle and ending were really good. And you get a sweet pair of glasses.

Saturday- it snowed. Enough said.
I had to put bags over my plants, I didn't want them to freeze.
I went to some friends later that night and made dinner.
Came home and went to bed.

Sunday- I slept in till 9:00 cleaned the house, swept, mopped, vacuumed, did dishes, the house is spotless. Until tonight of course. I made spaghetti for dinner.
Went to bed.

This week is the Volleyball Camp.
It goes from 2:00 to 9:00 for the rest of the week.
I'm excited for the camp. Not excited to get home late all week.

Here is too another Monday, another day another month another hour.
Lordy are things boring right now.

My Weekend

Remember I mentioned I got my hair cut and highlighted?

I've never really done this to my hair before, but I figured what the heck "Change is Good"

This is now what my hair looks like. I like it but I don't think I have caught the blond fever like my sister has!

This past weekend was my sister's graduation. I faced the day with a smile and a very dry sense of humor. I knew I was going to need it when I was asked tons of questions.
And not to mention during the graduation, My Dad was sad his last child was graduating. I even wore a dress.
It was green and pretty, pretty awesome!

Graduation was good, pretty short and sweet but My Lord was it HOT in that gym. I wish schools would invest in AC, it would serve the community well especially during events like graduation. My parents held my Sister's grad party at the house. We ate burgers, salad, chips and dip. I made the desert (like always) all in all it was a great day and a great turnout.

To end the night we had a little camp fire and roasted marshmallow's.
That is my Nephew, always worried about his hair and girls. He has already passed My Mom and Sister in height, but much to his dismay he still has a while before he will catch me!

I'm secretly praying I will keep growing just to compete with him!

The next day, I packed my bags said my goodbye's and headed home.
It was a nice day, my only complain was I was held up at Rodger's pass with road construction. However my little set back allowed me to have this quick scenic photo shoot with my phone!

Part 2

Where did I leave off?

Oh yes the nudist... I remember.

We were all crammed on a school bus, we could hardly sit comfortable due to the amount of restricted clothing we were wearing. Our main instructor was standing at the front introducing the other instructors.
She began with herself "Hi, my name is June (not really but you know.) I'm a kindergarten teacher at Big Sky."
"Next we have Sam, who is a bull rider and a total bad ass"
"Then there is Richard" I can't remember what she said about him. Sorry Richard.
"We can't forget about all the way Dave, he really doesn't need any intro if you ride his boat you will understand."
"Last but not least we have Chance, a nudist. He would rather ride the rapids naked he said it gives the cheeks good color."

By this time we had reached our destination. We were given paddles and told to check each other's gear one last time.
Then it came time for June to make her last speech. This speech included what commands would be given and what they mean, how to pull someone back in the boat, how to hold the paddle, how to react when we are told high side, etc.
What really caught my attention was when June said, "Please be aware you could die, there is a high risk but we will take all precautions to see this does not happen."
I laughed and then immediately chocked when I realized she wasn't kidding. June was dead serious.

Next we were divided into groups of 5 and given an instructor and a boat.
Our instructor was Chance the Nudist. Luckily for this special day he decided to wear clothes.

He said "Hi" and told us to "Jump in the boat" We all got in and did what normal people did, we sat in the very middle of each row getting as far away from the water as possible.
Chance told us to "Scoot to the very edge of the outside, you can paddle better this way." I looked at him as if he was a crazy nudist, but I did what I was told. I was the adult here and had to listen to the rules. Or at least try too.

We were all seated the proper way and Chance pushed us off the shore and swam behind us in the boat. Yes SWAM behind us, I wanted to hit him or yell at him to get his crazy nudist butt back in the boat and be our instructor, we are on a white water rapid river and need instructions! (I was kinda nervous in the beginning can you tell? No, oh good. I was trying to act like the adult here.)

Chance jumped in the boat and told us to paddle. That we needed to synchronize paddle because we were a team and needed to work together!
It was then that one of the Senior boys in my boat told us we should "Polar Bear" it and jump in. I immediately tried to burn him with my eyes. Then I explained in the most adult way no thank you, I would not be participating in that game.
I think I said "Um, you touch me with the intentions of getting me in the water, I will take you and this ENTIRE boat down with me. Do you get it???" "The water is cold and I do not wish to Polar Bear it, I don't do so well when I'm cold. I get crabby and I may injury you."

I think he got the point, he looked at me as if I would grow fangs and suck his blood right there. This made the instructor Chance laugh. I don't know why, I wasn't kidding at all.

This of course did not stop me from daring the senior boy to jump in, I like to laugh at what people will do on a dare. He jumped in and jumped right back out, his eyes were huge from coldness shock. I just laughed at him, Don't worry I used my adult laugh, not the "I can't believe you are stupid enough to do that" laugh.

We were well on our way down the river, we were all paddling at the same time, looking around enjoying the sun on our face. It was then at this time that Chance said, "well we are through all the easy boring stuff and we will get to some quicker water, but really we will just be dodging rocks."
"Before we get there lets get in a water fight? Shall we?"
"Everyone lets paddle"

Before I knew it we had paddled up to the next boat and the senior boys (there were 2) began splashing the boat with their paddles, this of course cause the other boat to retaliate.... And guess what sat between the senior boys and the other boat?

ME.

They drenched me. Did you know when you wear a wet suit, you can still feel the coldness of the water and the wet suit holds water. I was cold, wet and felt like I had peed my pants, and we just got started. I had to sit in wetness all day. So not cool.

I didn't really have time to stew and plan my revenge because we were told to paddle, and back paddle and right side paddle, left side back paddle.
The water was getting faster and the rocks were getting bigger. We made it through with ease because really our boat was pretty cool.
Chance thought so too, when we were to calm water he gave us a group "Paddle High Five" and then slapped the water with his paddle making a slapping sound. We all felt so cool and like white water rapid professionals!

He told us to look up river, and what did we see? A different boat from our group was stuck on a rock, and they were screaming and paddles were going everywhere. It was pretty funny. Don't worry no one was hurt and a boat behind them gave them the push they needed to get off the rock.

We were so cool, we decided we needed a name for our boat and our team. After hearing a couple stories about naked runs we chose the name "Naked Babe Runners." "NBR" for short. Each time we made it through something cool or we were bored someone would scream "WOOOOO NBR" "WWWOOOOO" And then we would paddle high five in the middle and hit the water with our paddles. (This is something only cool boats were allowed to do.)

Oh I just remembered, one of the senior boys told the instructor Chance, I was the class valedictorian. He believed it, I told him "No, I'm actually 24 and am supposed to be the boat adult" Chance laughed at me, he thought I was full of poop. I still think he believes me to be in high school, I should send a copy of my drivers license or birth certificate.

Anyways, we came to calm water and all the boats were pulling up to shore. It was time for lunch! Yes, I was so hungry. We ate sandwiches and pasta salad and baked goods. I had a brownie and I stole a pecan pie square, it was delish! (I ate to much, they had to loosen my life jacket I couldn't buckle it anymore...oops! But I told myself, this could be my last meal, I could die and I would rather die having indulged on a brownie and pecan pie.)

Back in the boat we go, by this time we were all pretty cold. Our hands were numb, our wet suits were.... well wet, our feet were about frozen. Chance told us we could all random paddle to get warmed up.... it kinda worked.

Before we knew it we were ready to go down the dreaded "Mile" I guess it's like deadly or something. Chance gave us all a pep talk and told us to just listen and we would do great. I was excited, nervous and a little scared and really cold. But there was no turning back now.

Commands were being tossed around like they were going out of style. "Paddle twice forward" "Left side back paddle once" "We need to dodge this big rock up here, or we will flip"
"Paddle forward twice" "Okay two more times"
I look up and we are speeding by a huge boulder, this rock was so big I wanted to cry. But before I knew it we passed it and did a "NBR WOOO" High five. I thought "Whew we made it, I'm still alive. I might have peed my pants but it's okay I'm wearing a wet suit, they won't notice. And if they do I'll just blame it on the boy in front of me."

During the Mile, you forgot about the cold, you forgot about your frozen appendages and you just listened to the commands and you felt the rush. It was extreme in one word it was "awesome."

We floated for another 2 1/2 miles before we were finished. It was during this time we passed the Brad Pitt rock. It was at that time that Brad Pitt's soul and mine were burned together forever. My life will never be the same again.

When we were unloading, our instructor Chance told us girls that he really wasn't a nudist and he went to school for physical therapy. I felt so lied too, it was all a lie, I didn't even know who he was and I trusted him with my life?? He just laughed it off, and in the end we did too. We were just happy to get out of the water.

We all climbed back on the warm heated bus, you could hear the sigh of relief when we began to feel our fingers and toes again. We made it.

We got back to the lodge and had to undress.
"Take off the booties, empty the water out and toss them in the bucket"
"Put your helmet's in the bin"
"Put your life jackets on the line"
"Please hang up the jackets and the wet suits inside out to dry"

They didn't mention how hard it was going to be to peel the wet suit off your body.
All you could do was un-velcro and un-button your self and someone would grab the suit and pull down and hard as they could.

"Ahhh, yes! I can breathe again."

Everyone finished dressing and blessed the lord for warm dry clothes.
I drank a tall glass of hot chocolate.
We got on the bus and I fell asleep.
We got to Famous Dave's, I woke up and ran into the restaurant.
We all ordered, got our food and ate way too much.
My stomach still hurt yesterday morning from all the food I had eaten.
Oh but it was so worth it. Because I almost died yesterday and this was a celebration feast. We were all celebrating our survival.

And that is my experience this past weekend. It was up it was down it was even sideways, but overall it was a blast.

Weekend Recap: Survival 101?

My weekend was full and very busy.
Friday was the only down time I had.
Saturday I was at a track meet in Great Falls, running the high jump with a friend. After a few mistakes we ran the high jump like pros!
After the meet, I went home with the intentions of going to bed early (I had to be at the bus to leave for Bozeman by 5:15 AM)
And my plans went right down the toilet, we stayed up and dyed and cut hair. I never went to bed on Saturday because I knew I wouldn't wake up.

(To keep this from being too long I'm going to do this in 2 parts.)
PART 1.
Sunday, the big day. The day the senior class was scheduled to go White Water Rafting.
I got my stuff together, threw on some clothes and headed down to the school. When I got on the bus I realized I didn't match at all, I was wearing pink sweats, teal shorts and a navy blue sweatshirt. This is what happens when you get dressed in the dark.

I mumbled a couple hello's to the senior class and immediately claimed my seat, stretched out and fell asleep. I didn't wake up until we reached Helena, and I only woke up them because they promised me McDonald's breakfast (McDonald's breakfast is on of my many guilty pleasures)

I vaguely remember one of the boys trying to get a conversation started with me but after he realized I'm sleep deprived and it was like talking to a brick wall he left me alone and drifted back to sleep.

I woke up again when we were somewhere in the mountains and the windy road threw me off my seat. I sat up, rubbed my eyes and asked "where are we?"
I was told "Somewhere past Bozeman."
Seniors always have the best answers!

About an hour later we reached our destination.
We were at Geyser White Water Rafting
Our Mission for the day (right after I went to the bathroom) was to tackle the Gallatin River, known for it's dangerous rapid "Mile" stretch or for others who aren't so extreme this is where the movie "A River Runs Through It" was filmed, yes I stood where Brad Pitt stood, I touched water Brad Pitt touched, I.... well you get the idea. Me and Brad are practically like Besties now.

Before we left the bus our instructor told us the plan and where to get all our gear. So we filed off the bus, I relieved my bladder, and got my gear.
I was handed some rubber booties, a wet suit, and a velcro jacket thingy.
We were told the water would be cold so wear a fleece or long underwear under the wet suit.

The girls were all getting dressed, and laughing about how funny they felt. I laughed to myself thinking ah to be young again and laugh about something silly like wet suits.
I began with the wet suit, but I had a problem. The wet suit was tight, like really really tight and my sweats were bunched up around my butt giving me a wedgie from hell.... I thought "This is SO not going to work" It wouldn't even pull up over my butt and gathered sweats.
So I took my sweats off, ahh much better. I was currently wearing my bathing suit, shorts and a t-shirt under my wet suit. At the last minute I added my sweatshirt to this as well.
I still needed help getting the suit all the way up, so I asked for help and I realized senior girls are strong.
One of the girls grabbed my wet suit straps and pulled up. Pulling me off the ground and giving me a couple shakes this of course made my wet suit move up to the proper place. I felt kinda violated but at the same time found it hilarious.
Next come the booties, they are like really snug water shoes, very fashionable.
Then the water proof jacket (I loved this jacket once we hit the water)

I headed out of the dressing room and was immediately handed a life jacket and a helmet.
They told me to tighten the life jacket really tight "If you can't breathe, you can't drown"
"Okay, but don't you die any way's without air? Or have I been living a lie all along?"

Finally I was stuffed and strapped into all the proper gear, I couldn't move, I couldn't breathe, I was really uncomfortable. They told me that was perfect.

They loaded us all onto the bus to drive us to the loading spot.
While on the bus we were introduced to all our instructors in a very unconventional way.
Our instructor had me worried, they told us he was a nudist and would spend everyday naked if he could......
I'm sitting there thinking "Oh Lord WHAT have I gotten myself into?"

Coming up PART 2.

Lets get caught up shall we?

I have been stuck at home, we were snowed in. (Okay not really)

The Internet has been down, and it was the worst kind of torture ever.
It's back up and running, Finally! My day was getting pretty boring.
Now I have the pleasure of going through all 55 emails I wasn't able to receive.

Lets do a weekend recap now shall we?

I did laundry, loads and loads of laundry. The sad part, I still have a mountain of dirty clothes heaping in my house.... the laundry will take over my life one of these days.

It rained, and melted all the snow! (YES!)

We went fishing, I caught one baby fish. I felt bad for him and threw him back. I think I did the right thing. I would feel really bad if I ever found out the big fish we caught were his parents.... ugh sorry little dude.

The rosters for Big Sky State Games have been posted, I have already got the girls team together. Now I'm working on ordering them shirts! I'm so excited for them, I think they will have a blast.

Overall my weekend was low key and awesome. On Saturday I didn't do a darn thing (well except laundry) I stayed in my sweats and ate on my couch all day. I just love days like that!

On the agenda for the week:

I'm sure we will get more rain, but at least it isn't snow!

We have our first track meet tomorrow! (I get to wear my "Coach" Jacket and Sweatshirt)

I'm going to finish that laundry, even if it kills me.

Sometime this week, I'm going to try a new recipe for enchilada's, it calls for spinach and cream cheese... Sounded different so were going to give it a whirl.

That's all I got lined up for the week.

For this month, it's going to be busy.
The Belt Graduation is on the 24th
And my Sister Graduates on the 30th.

Where did time go? When did I get so old?

Weekend Recap: 3 B's

My weekend consisted of the 3 B's.

1. Branding
2. Balls
3. Butts

Of course there is a story with each "B" are you interested?
Well either way I'm gonna write about it, because really it changed how I looked at the world.

1. Branding:
Saturday and Sunday both were dedicated to Branding.
Saturday we branded for the Ranch that we live on. It was fun, low key, and we got to eat really good food afterwards. All in all, it was a good day.
(Oh and after we went to town and Ryan demonstrated the impulsive humanly trait of burning money like it's going out of style. He bought a saddle. My only question "Can I get one two then?"
He said no.... and I threw a tantrum, in the middle of the store. Okay not really but you can imagine if I did. Saddle: Good buy, good price, good sale, it'll get lots of good use. Over all, good purchase.)
Sunday's Branding: We helped a friend of ours brand, and well it was fun and educational and very interesting. (and kinda cold too and really muddy. I was a mess, I looked homeless when we were finished.)

2. Balls:
Sunday's Branding brought on a whole new meaning to me. I've been to many brandings before, but this one is burned in my memory for life. Like forever man.
During Branding, the bull calves usually have to be cut (or castrated to be technically correct). There are many different ways, banding, cutting, sterilizing, etc.
I was introduced to a new way consisting of using the human mouth.
Yeah you read that right, "The Human Mouth"
Squeamish people, please stop here, because I'm going to explain in detail now. You've been warned!

The designated testicle remover was given a small knife and a bucket.
When this person (Phil) was called over by yelling "Bull Calf"
Phil would grab his bucket and small knife.
Kneeling by the stretched out calf, Phil would cut the ball sack, and expose the testicles. (that's normal, seen this a hundred times.)
Phil would then lean over and place testicle # 1 in his mouth. (Yeah MOUTH) And proceed to pull out testicle # 1 and spit it in the bucket.
Phil would then repeat this procedure to testicle # 2
Phil's reasoning was it's cleaner then using your hands.....
Please, please be dirty, it's okay I won't tell. I WON'T TELL.

When I witnessed this the first time, there were no words, no thoughts. Just dry heaving.
Then I thought, Did Phil really just do that? Oh my god, it that sanitary? That poor calf, has been castrated with a human mouth.... oh lord. Then the dry heaving would start all over again.

I've also learned to appreciate my tooth brush and the fact that my husband was just as creeped out as I was. (Thank you Lord, for he will not try this method himself!)
Are you sick yet? I still have 1 more B left.... Hello? HELLO?? Anyone there? Buller?

3. Butts:
At the branding on Sunday, there were many helpers including myself labeled as "wrestlers"
Our job is to hold the calf down while they receive their shots, the brand, and the testicle removing procedure.
Some of the other wrestlers were rather large. Large meaning really tall and "big boned"?
You get the idea no?

Well every time these larger boys bent over to grab a calf, the world and all the bovine creatures saw their butts. (enter more dry heaving. sorry but they were big and hairy and very scary)
Let me just say for Christmas, I considered showering them with anonymous gifts of longer jeans and shirts!

When we got home and I showered and tried to drink away the memories, I looked at Ryan and felt new appreciation. His mouth is testicle free and his butt is covered. Thank you lord. Thank you.
